Fundraising

Fundraising is very important to the band. Funding is needed to pay for travel to marching competitions, instruments, instrument repair, uniforms and awards. Fundraising also helps to reduce the cost of band camp, honor bands and other activities during concert season. This necessary support comes at a cost, which is why fundraising is critical.
 

• Spirit Cards - The spirit card sale begins in early September. Cards include discounts and freebies from many local restaurants. The cost of the cards is $10 each.
   
• Bingo - The Reidland Booster Club operates the bingo games at Jamestown Plaza on Clarks River Road on Tuesday and Sunday nights. The income from these games provide a relatively stable source of income for the club. The operation of the bingo games is very dependent on volunteers who can provide 4 hours of help during a game. • Fruit - One of the larger fundraisers the booster club operates is the fruit. The marching band members take fruit orders for 2 weeks. The fruit arrives in December and is yummy!
   
• Concessions -  The marching band members operate the concession stand during home football games. This is another source of stable income for the marching band. Volunteers are needed for this fundraiser as well.
